Amy Galvan has completed a five-year academic program of study in Contemporary Oriental Medicine from Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, an accredited private school, under the tutelage of the internationally renowned acupuncturist Leon Hammer, MD. This program involves over 3,000 hours of specialized clinical and classroom training in diagnosis and treatment of disease patterns using acupuncture and herbal medicine integrated with over 500 hours of western medicine. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine December 2009. She completed national board exams and is now licensed in the state of Florida as an acupuncture physician providing primary care.

Prior to studying Chinese medicine, Amy graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1992 from Eastern Michigan University as a Regents Scholar.
